A Coffee Shop Date A Week Keeps A Gal Going

“Good communication is just as stimulating as black coffee, and just as hard to sleep after.”

I got this shirt as part of my February intention of adding color to my wardrobe….. I initially was very hesitant when I saw it online but LOVED the cut of it so decided to step out on a limb- I figured I could always sent it back. The triangle cut outs, the extra long sleeves and retro vibe made this piece easy to style even though the color scared me.

One piece of color in my wardrobe and I’m addicted; I officially need more burnt orange in my life!

Another thing I need in my life?

Coffee Shop Dates

I’m a firm believer in girl time. There is NO way I could get through life without their support! One of my fav ways to get one on one time with my bffs is to meet up at a local coffee shops to chat. Sometimes our coffee shop dates are just a quick thirty minutes and other times they turn into a four hour discussion on the depths of life.

3 Tips For Making Coffee Shop Dates Routine

1: Find a central location!

I love heading downtown to a shop that is close to me and where my close gal pals work. The vibe of the shop is great and the mountain views while we talk are amazing!

2: Be flexible!
We don’t have a day of the week or certain time that we meet up. Rather, the day and time a reflective of when we are both free! Sometimes our coffee shop date happens in the evening other times mid morning.

3: Make it a priority!

Did you read last week’s post on compassion? Making coffee time a priority in my week is one of the ways I am kind to myself- stepping back from what has to be done for something that refreshes me.

If time with your girls doesn’t relax you and let out your silly what will????

I’d love to hear how you make time in your week for your girlfriends!

Also are you loving this burnt orange shade as much as I am?
