Give the End of Summer Your Best Face

I just spent the last three weeks sitting on the beach soaking up every ray of sun streaming down from the last days of summer. It was glorious. Three weeks of summer vacation, sun and food definitely took its toll on my skin- it’s managing to peel and flake and yet break out at the same time. Fortunately, I have some secrets stashed away in my drawer for moments such as these.

Meet my end of summer skincare tips for rescuing your indulgence ridden skin!

1: Nivea In-Shower Body Lotion

I normally don’t have extremely dry skin, except in the middle of winter and after all the sun of summer. I know it’s bad but I did get a bit burned on my trip (major upfront confession there in this era of sunscreen rules). Sigh. Even though the burn wasn’t bad the aftermath of shedding like a snake is. This lotion helps me from feeling creepy crawly! It’s in shower application makes using it easy peasy lemon squeezy.

2: Ole Henrickson Truth Serum Vitamin C

Vitamin C good in orange juice, even better on your face! One overnight use of this serum brightened and cleared up my complexion in a majorly magic way.

3: The Bathery Dry Brush

Have you ever dry brushed before? There was a big to do about it a few years ago and I got hooked. I’m convinced the post sunburn peel is inevitable; dry brushing helps clear it up sooner though. The exfoliation factor is out of this world!

4: Living Proof No Frizz Nourishing Oil

Summer takes the hardest hit on one’s hair for sure! This one might not be an end of summer skincare tip but everyone loves a good hair product as well. It’s still hot and humid out which means you don’t want your hair to be weighed down with a heavy product. This oil is a heavy duty moisturizer without the stringy strand effect!

5: essie Apricot Cuticle Oil

Chlorine, sand, salt: they can all wreck your nails and cuticles! This oil will put the health back into your tips without leaving greasy prints on everything you touch.

Do you have any end of summer skincare tips? I’d love to hear about how you’re changing up your product line up heading into fall, and if you’ve tried any of these products before.

All of these products sound quite amazing, some of which I’m personally familiar with, mainly the Ole Henrickson oil. I was first introduced to the brand by Influenster and I loved it so much, I went out and purchased the full sized moisturizer and continue to use this serum daily, it’s amazing, and has significantly helped to lighten dark spots left behind from acne. Thanks so much for sharing, beauty, and I hope you’re having a great week so far!
