After actually getting to experience winter this past weekend, I’m content and ready for the warmth of summer! I played in the snow, but now I’m ready to play in the sand. I think there’s a way to go before that happens though!
My favourite way to instantly warm up one’s face and add a little summer to your look is with a bronzer.
I wear them lightly now, and in the summer they are all I wear with a bit of mascara. My requirements for a bronzer are that they don’t streak, don’t look powdery, and they must last through a summer day; I also prefer one that is matte (I have my own natural sheen on hot days….).
If you haven’t used their products before NYX is an affordable brand with intense colour payoff- I would highly recommend their eyeshadows as well as this matte bronzer.
Benefit Cosmetics has over 40 years of experience under their belts, which is why their Hoola bronzer is so perfect. I highly recommend this one for any fairer ladies, and the best part is no orange tones to it whatsoever!
Too Faced uses cocoa powder in their bronzer giving it a slight chocolate scent that is not overbearing. Even with the chocolate in the formula it’s not sticky, but rather a true smooth brown.
Laura Mercier always delivers top notch products, and this bronzer is no exception. Matte and hardworking you won’t have to reapply mid day!
Probably my favourite bronzer of all time, and a bonafide cult classic you can not go wrong with this Nars product. Just be easy when you dust your brush across it, a little goes a long way.
We’ve all had those moments in Target where we through a little something from the cosmetic isle into our over flowing cart. Next time make it this Wet n Wild bronzer. The price means you won’t cry when you accidentally drop it on the bathroom floor, and the smooth tan finish will make you look like you just came back from Fiji- or at least not like you were just freezing under ten blankets before you were forced to leave the house.
I’m super excited to announce a new way to shop the blog! Up till now Makeup Monday and Shopping Saturday posts were created using Polyvore, but now they are through Like It To Know It.
