Liquid eyeliner can be a major hit or miss- a challenge or easy as pie. Like anything in life, it does take some practice to get the hang of it, but the one’s I’m sharing today make it easy to apply the perfect Cleopatra eye from the get go.
The first task is to decide whether you want to go with a paint pot, or with a brush. Both have their merits: the brush is preloaded with the pigment and you basically paint and go, whereas the pot you have more control over the initial amount you apply.
I received the Eyeko liner in a Birchbox forever ago, and since then it’s been my go to liquid liner. It’s really a no brainer to apply, do one quick swipe and your done- and it will not flake (a huge issue with liquid liners!). If you were going to invest in any liquid eyeliner I cannot recommend this one enough!
e.l.f. has certainly made themselves known for uber cheap and effective makeup products. Their $3 cream eyeliner is no exception. The brush is thin and the cream smooth which means no tugging, and a crisp even line. I know I feature NYX a lot; you just can’t go wrong with this brand! (Not to mention, Ulta always has great coupons that NYX is valid for.) The super thin brush of this liner is the perfect length to control the liquid- not so long it bends everywhere and not so short it stabs you in the eye (no fun).
Kevin Aucion was a makeup guru, and left behind a legacy in the cosmetics world. His liner is everything you would expect from his line, and definitely worth every penny in terms of wear and pigment. I love the brush on the L’Oreal pot; it’s amazing and I have yet to find a better one. It’s advertised as 24/7 and it really is (you’re going to want to check out this post to figure out how to get it off!). So this last one by Benefit is a bit different- it has a rubber tip. I won’t lie, it takes some getting used to as it’s so different. The trick is making sure you have enough of the liner on the end before applying in order to get the smoothest line.
Have you tried any of these or does liquid liner scare you? I promise there is one for everyone and it’s a lot easier than it seems!!!
Happy Monday loves. Have a super fantastic week!

I love eye liner! Great review Kait!

The pen really makes it so much easier! Happy Wednesday love! Hugs, Kait
I used to use eyeliner all the time and make a winged line above my eyes. That was during my little phase 🙂 Now my makeup routine usually only consists of just mascara and brows ! hihi they’re my makeup musts!
http://www.erdalandyuka.com
I’m the same way!!! Brows make all the difference. Liquid liner is definitely my night out thing. Hugs, Kait
I started using liquid liner this year and am sooo addicted to it! I just feel so much more feminine with it on. I use cheap ones…elf and NYC. They work great for me.

Liquid liner is so hard for me! I prefer to use gel because I feel like I have more control.

Try one of the felt tipped! You’ll feel much more in control of the liquid. Hugs, Kait
I love liquid eye liners and I use them everyday. I am currently using Dior, but I would also love to try out the ones you mentioned here. Great picks as always. Thank you for sharing! 🙂
Your eyes are always so perfectly lined! I’m going to have to check out the Dior. Hugs, Kait
Lovely liner.

Thanks love! Hugs, Kait
I have to be more brave and try using the pot. I used liners with a felt tip because I find it to be easier, but I love the intensity that using a pot can give, like you said. Thanks so much for sharing your suggestions with us and I hope you’re having a wonderful day so far, beautiful!

Love your makeup tips
Thank you so much love! Hugs, Kait
I love liquid liner, and I want to try that NYX one! I have their lip products and love them, so I think I’d love the eyeliner too! And the Benefit Push up liner scared me away haha, it wasn’t for me, it was so messy, I just couldn’t get it right! Maybe i’m not very patient and too clumsy hehe
-Lily from With Love Lily Rose
It is a little tricky, but with some work it’s awesome! Give the NYX a go, and you’ll like it. Hugs, Kait
I haven’t used it everrr only because I stink at applying normal eyeliner.. Lol. But, You make it sound so easy!! Thanks for sharing, beautiful kait!!

You are absolutely right!!! Hugs, Kait
I am so bad at eyeliner. I want to try eyeko because I heard great things about it through Birchbox too. I’ll have to try it.
xoxo Kylen | Kylen Every Wear
Do it! The Eyeko is the first liquid liner I’ve ever been able to use. Hugs, Kait
I usually use liquid eyeliner but I actually like pencil eyeliners better. Also, I have never used a brush and cream eye liner on myself but I have used it plenty of times while doing my sisters makeup and it’s nice.
It’s really smooth when you use a brush as far as not tugging, I do find I have to work harder to make sure the colour stays even. The ones I listed are super easy to work with though. I’m normally a pencil girl but sometimes the cat eye calls. Hugs, Kait
hi kait!–hope you had a great vday! but ok, onto eyeliner. it was ages ago i tried liquid eyeliner i believe it was the lancome artliner, omg i could not get it to work for me, talk about shaky hands and a jagged line (so not in). so i gave up and i only use gel eyeliners like bobbi brown or MAC fluidlines. it’s kinda hassle bc you have to use a brush. but works for me. plus i only really wear eyeliner on the weekends. LOL. #lazy. i’ve heard a lot of good things about the eyeko one though so glad to hear you like it. thanks for sharing this! xoxo,
janna | http://www.jannadoan.com
I did, thank you! I hope you did as well love. I didn’t like the Artliner either!! Bobbi Brown has some great products in her line up. Definitely give the Eyeko a go! If you’re used to a brush it’ll be easy peasy. Hugs, Kait
I don’t use eyeliner. I just think it looks so bad on me! But i may give it a try.
Hope you have a great week, beautiful!
Xx, Rayaa
It’s always good to shake your look up! I think you just always look gorgeous no matter what love. Hugs, Kait
So scared of liquid liner! I can barely use regular eye liner!!! You may just have inspired me to give it a try!!! xox, Kristin
It does take practice, but these are super simple to manipulate. Hugs, Kait
I usually never use liquid liner because I always mess it up. But you have me thinking I should try again with some of these ones!
