“Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall.”
-F Scott Fitzgerald
I know that spring and the New Year are when people think of rebirth and newness of spirit. For myself, I also find a major uplift in the fall. The crispness in the air and the bright colour of the leaves, the autumn foods and traditions. Is there anything not to love about the coming autumn?
One of the things find the most uplifting and releasing in the fall is the change in wardrobe. Being able to layer and fully express myself through styling is so much easier during the cooler months! My favourite item in my closet year round is definitely a tunic length top.
(This last picture shows what happens during most of my photoshoots! I’ve never me a dog I didn’t’ want to love on- even if they leave my sleeve soaking wet like this little fellow did!)
Tunic dresses work in the summer alone as a mini dress, look super chic with OTK boots in the fall and go into winter layered under sweaters for boho perfection. They really work in any season and styled in any way you can imagine! There are a couple of fresh ways I want to wear my tunic dresses this fall:
- Over a turtleneck. (I want to layer everything with tissue turtlenecks this fall!)
- With flare legged jeans.
- With a clean tailored coat for a 60s vibe.
Do you have a favourite style you always turn to? I’d love to hear about it!
On a less fun note- I spent the entire week condemned to my bed by the doctor for a severe sinus infection that caused some complications. It’s not been a great week at all but here’s to hoping things finally heal up and I can be out and about some this weekend! Plus get a major backlog of homework and blogwork finished………..
