Weird S*** in My Bathroom That Make Sense

“Being called weird is like being called limited edition,

meaning your something that people don’t see that often. Remember that.”

-Unknown

There are some odd beauty products and treatments available these days! Have you heard of Kim K’s vampire facial or Gwyneth Paltrow and her bee venom treatments? Both are pretty extreme, not to mention expensive! You don’t have to be famous to have odd beauty routines; for today’s Monday Beauty Edit I’m sharing the three weirdest products I use in my routine and I couldn’t live without.

1: Micro-needle Roller

The at home use of micro-needling has been popular in Asian countries for decades now but is still weird to see in American bathrooms. The tiny needles on the roller pierce the skin and enable faster absorption for your skincare products. I use mine with Vitamin C serums for an unbelievable glow or for a super moisturizing effect in the winter. Just be careful to keep the roller SUPER clean and sanitary! (Here’s an amazing article about the benefits of micro-needling.)

2: Safety Razor

I have been dying to share my newest weird obsession with you! I HATE shaving, like with a major passion. I do not have sensitive skin at all- till I shave. My legs HATE it. I have tried so many different razors in the women’s and men’s sections, as well as shaving creams, to try and get a smooth non-irritated shave. I never found a great combo that worked, so I tried going old-school- enter the double-edged safety razor. Wow. It’s been life changing! There are two reasons I love using these-

  • They are super cheap- a new blade can be less than 10 cents a pop.
  • They are more environmentally friendly than disposables. (More on this new passion another day!)

The best part is I am officially razor bump and irritation free. (Even my underarms!) There is a learning curve to using a safety razor but the results are so worth it!

3: InStyler Straight Up Ceramic Straightening Brush

I’m sure you’ve seen these and thought, “That’s so weird and it can’t possibly work.” I thought the same! Trying this product truly changed straightening my hair; it works like a charm and takes less than 5 minutes to get my hair frizz free and perfectly straight! I recommend brushing your tangles out before using it, once you do just brush your hair with the tool like you normally would- the results will shock you!

What’s the weirdest item in your beauty cabinet? I want to hear about it!

I hope you have a wonderful week ahead babes full of love and laughter.

I loved this post! So funny bc I was thinking the same thing as I was looking in my bathroom. I’ve been wanting to get into micro-needling. It’s supposed to be incredible & I am SO intrigued by this razor! Not only does it look super chic, but I have the same qualms as you! Great post, babe!! x Shannon
